Terms and Conditions
This is an English translation for convenience. The Hungarian version (ÁSZF) is binding; the contract language is Hungarian.
Effective from 2 November 2026 (version 2026-11-02). These terms apply to contracts for access to online courses concluded on academy.teringette.hu.
1. Seller
- Name: Ádám Uzonyi, sole trader (egyéni vállalkozó) (“Seller”)
- Registered address: Tallér utca 6., 1145 Budapest, Hungary
- Registration number: 55071176
- Tax number: 56427257-1-42 (VAT-exempt small business, no VAT is charged)
- E-mail (customer service, complaints): uzonyiadamm@gmail.com
- Hosting provider: Rackhost Zrt. (Tisza Lajos körút 41., 6722 Szeged, Hungary, company reg. no. 06-10-000489, tax no. 25333572-2-06, www.rackhost.hu)
2. Definitions and nature of the contract
Buyer: a natural person who registers an account and buys a course. Consumer: a natural person acting outside their trade, business or profession.
The contract is concluded electronically; it is not a written contract and is not filed by the Seller. Its data (order, statements, confirmation) remain available in the Buyer’s account and by e-mail. The Seller has not subscribed to any code of conduct.
3. The service
A purchased course is a package of online learning material in the Buyer’s account (digital content and digital service): video clips, lessons, interactive and automatically assessed tasks, Python practice running in the browser and a personal progress dashboard. One purchase gives access to one course for 12 months from payment. If the Buyer buys the same course again before access ends, the new period starts when the previous one ends.
The course description, module titles and estimated durations can be seen on the course page before buying; the learning material itself opens after successful payment.
Technical requirements: an internet connection and an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari). The first load of the Python practice downloads a larger amount of data. Accounts are personal and may not be shared.
The Seller may correct and update the material (new versions). Changes that materially and adversely affect purchased access may only be made under Hungarian Government Decree 373/2021, with prior notice to the Buyer.
4. Prices
Prices are gross prices in Hungarian forints. The Seller is VAT-exempt (alanyi adómentes), so the price contains no VAT and is the total amount payable; there are no delivery or other charges. The price shown on the course’s purchase page at the time of ordering applies. Buyers abroad may pay in their own currency on Stripe’s payment page: they then see and pay an amount converted at an exchange rate set by Stripe that includes a 2–4% conversion fee; this fee is charged by Stripe, the Seller receives the price in forints and the invoice is issued in forints. The Seller is not obliged to perform at an obviously wrong price (e.g. a typing error); in that case the Buyer is notified and any amount paid is refunded.
5. How to order
- The Buyer registers and confirms their e-mail address.
- On the course they click “Buy the full course” and review the content, the access period and the price.
- They give their billing details (name or company name, tax number for companies, country, postal code, city, address); these are needed for the invoice and to identify the purchase, and the Buyer is responsible for their accuracy.
- They accept these terms and the privacy notice and make the statement in section 7 (immediate opening of access).
- Before pressing “Order with obligation to pay” they choose a payment method: for card payment they are taken to Stripe’s secure payment page, where they enter their card details; for bank transfer the Seller sends the transfer details by e-mail and on the “My purchases” page (beneficiary, account number, amount, order number as reference, deadline).
- Correcting input errors: all data can be checked and corrected before the payment is sent; the Buyer can go back from the payment page and change or abandon the order. Account details can be corrected on the Account page.
- The contract is concluded when the price is paid: for card payment when the payment succeeds, for bank transfer when the amount is credited to the Seller’s account. If a transfer does not arrive by the deadline (8 days after ordering), the order is cancelled; the Buyer can also cancel an unpaid order on the “My purchases” page. The Seller then confirms the contract by e-mail without delay (on a durable medium), including the statement in section 7. If no confirmation arrives within 48 hours, please write to the e-mail address in section 1.
6. Payment and invoice
Payment is made by card (or another method offered by Stripe, e.g. Apple Pay or Google Pay) or by bank transfer. Card payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland). The Seller never sees or stores card details. The Seller issues an electronic invoice, sent by e-mail from Számlázz.hu.
7. Performance and right of withdrawal
Access opens in the Buyer’s account immediately after a successful card payment, or without delay once a bank transfer is credited (usually within 1–2 working days). Bank charges for transfers are borne by the Buyer.
Under Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014, consumers generally have 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, however, the consumer cannot withdraw if the Seller began performance with the consumer’s express prior consent, the consumer acknowledged at the same time that they lose the right of withdrawal once performance has begun, and the Seller sent a confirmation of this (Decree 45/2014, section 29(1)(m)).
When ordering, the Buyer makes this statement: “I expressly request that access to the course opens immediately after payment, and I acknowledge that I thereby lose my 14-day right of withdrawal.” The Seller stores the statement and its time with the order and repeats it in the confirmation e-mail.
Because access opens immediately after payment at the Buyer’s express request, and the Buyer acknowledges at the same time that the right of withdrawal is lost, the Buyer cannot withdraw from the contract for a purchased course under the 14-day right of withdrawal; the Seller therefore provides no withdrawal function or withdrawal form. An order cannot be placed without this statement. In case of a defect the Buyer has the rights in section 8.
8. Lack of conformity
For the whole access period the Seller is responsible for the digital content and service conforming to the contract (Hungarian Civil Code and Government Decree 373/2021). Please report a defect (e.g. material does not open, a task is scored incorrectly) to the e-mail address in section 1; the Seller fixes it free of charge within a reasonable time. If it cannot be fixed or is not fixed, the Buyer may ask for a proportionate price reduction or, for a defect that is not minor, terminate the contract and receive back the fee for the unused period.
9. Complaints and remedies
Complaints can be sent to the e-mail address in section 1. Written complaints are answered in substance in writing within 30 days, and records are kept for the period required by law (Hungarian Act CLV of 1997, section 17/A).
If a complaint is not resolved, consumers may turn to the conciliation board competent for their place of residence. The board for the Seller’s seat is the Budapest Conciliation Board (Budapesti Békéltető Testület), 1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99. I. em. 111.; postal address: 1253 Budapest, Pf. 10.; phone: +36 1 488 2131; e-mail: bekelteto.testulet@bkik.hu; web: bekeltet.bkik.hu. Consumers may also complain to the consumer protection authority (the government office of their county or of Budapest) or go to court.
10. Copyright
All course content (videos, texts, tasks, code, compilation of datasets) is the Seller’s intellectual property and protected by copyright. The Buyer may use it only for their own learning; copying, downloading (except material explicitly offered for download), passing on, making available to the public or sharing the account is prohibited. In case of serious or repeated breach the Seller may suspend access.
11. Liability
The Seller aims for continuous availability but, to the extent permitted by law, is not liable for short outages caused by maintenance, the hosting provider or internet connections. For a longer outage attributable to the Seller, access is extended by the length of the outage. The courses are educational; the Seller is not liable for business decisions made on the basis of the material.
12. Personal data
See the privacy notice.
13. Changes, governing law
The Seller may change these terms; changes apply to contracts concluded after they take effect, while earlier purchases remain under the version in force when they were made (the version number is in the confirmation e-mail). Hungarian law applies, in particular the Civil Code, Government Decrees 45/2014 and 373/2021 and Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of their country of residence where it is more favourable.
